My mom clipped this idea out of a magazine several years ago. She keeps all of her clippings in this crazy, disorganized binder, which we call “the binder” and use for fun holiday and hosting ideas. This Fourth of July I’m planning on keeping things simple: burgers, dogs, crisp rosé and this bright side-salad. Recipe below!

Instructions

1. Cut 1/2 inch slices of cucumber; punch a small star shaped cookie cutter in the center to make a mini star. Do this for all slices of cucumber.
2. Combine the cucumbers, tomatoes, green onion, and dill in a bowl.
3. In a separate container, shake the oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper to create the dressing.
4. Combine the dressing with the salad and toss to coat.
