Friendsgiving Pumpkin Pie Coffee Cake Dessert

Imagine a hybrid coffee cake / Pumpkin Pie — it goes perfectly with ice cream, whipped cream or on its own, and only requires a few ingredients… Original recipe from an old Betty Crocker pamphlet!
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom and sides of a rectangular cake pan. Beat pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar and 4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice in a medium bowl with a whisk until smooth. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture. Sprinkle with chopped pecans or walnuts. Pour melted butter evenly over top of the dessert. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
